It is an all campus celebration and showcase of the intellectual achievements of Austin College students representing independent and collaborative projects from every division within the college. Students participating in the conference present research, honors theses, creative endeavors, class projects, and much more.

Any Austin College student who has completed, or is in the process of completing, an appropriate intellectual or creative project independently, collaboratively, or in conjunction with a course.
Yes. Student registration requires sponsorship by an Austin College faculty member.
There are no registration fees and the conference organizing committee does all it can to fully cover the costs of participating in the conference. However, the conference cannot support the costs incurred while completing the research or creative project.
No. Friday, November 15, 2019 is the initial abstract submission deadline. Submissions at this point allow the conference organizing committee to plan out the conference schedule and to work with various constituencies on their presentation needs. Work on many projects will continue into the spring semester and revisions to the abstracts can be accepted until Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
Yes. Revisions to the initial abstract or synopsis submissions can be submitted any time up to Wednesday, February 5, 2020. After that date, the abstract book will move to publication and revisions cannot be incorporated.
Yes. Please list the presenting authors first. If you have specific concerns or needs, it is best to contact a member of the conference organizing committee directly.
Yes. The conference will allow you to practice presenting the rationale for your project and any work that has been completed thus far. The feedback you receive at the conference will provide valuable guidance on how to further develop your project.
In addition to the ACSC web pages, CREATE offers a series of workshops throughout the year which support presentation preparation. Furthermore, the faculty sponsor for each project is an excellent resource for assistance in preparing an appropriate professional presentation for your discipline.
Yes. Withdrawals received before the Wednesday, February 5, 2020 date will not be included in the conference program. After February 6, all students are expected to participate in the conference unless emergency circumstances dictate otherwise.
Yes. Please work with your faculty sponsor and a member of the conference organizing committee to determine the best mechanism to present your work.
No. The two-day conference schedule is determined by the conference organizing committee using all of the submissions, the various presentation formats, and the available room spaces. The conference committee does its best each year to work with students to allow full participation.
